Adipose
Is this the face that munched a thousand chips?We see the tell-tale signs of adipose
distension of the jowl. Note how the lips,
still filmed in grease, yet tremble in repose
as if in memory of fond exercise,
and even now the warm saliva dribbles
from either corner. Mark the piggy eyes
forever searching out a source of nibbles -
pork scratchings, chocolates, candles, anything
to fill the weary hours from meal to meal
with morbid mastication, emptying
the bowel of noxious gas with ready zeal
and hideous pleasure, this the dissipative
last refuge of the carnally creative.
